2025 Middle School Fall Retreat

The Fall Retreat is a Mid-Atlantic multi-church retreat for students currently in grades 6-8 and is happening this upcoming October 17-19. It includes multiple large group sessions with teaching, music, games, and more. This year’s Fall Retreat theme is AWAKE, inspired by Ephesians 5:14: “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” It’s time to wake up. It’s time to stop sleepwalking through faith. It’s time to rise from distraction, compromise, and complacency. It’s time to fully embrace the life God has set aside for YOU. This weekend will challenge students to open their eyes, lean into truth, and come alive in Christ like never before

When is it?

October 17-19. Depart from DBC @ 3:30pm on Friday, Return to DBC @ 3:00pm-ish on Sunday

Who is it for? 

All middle school students (6th-8th grade)

What does it cost? 

  • $125

  • If financial assistance is needed please contact Michael Seager. We don’t want money to be the reason a student can’t attend.

  • You will need money for dinner on Friday on the way there (fast food - around $15). We eat lunch before we leave the camp so we won’t stop for a meal on the way back.

What should I bring?

Please pack everything in one SMALL suitcase or SMALL duffel. We will NOT have space for multiple bags.

  • Clothes to play in and sleep in for 3 days two nights (including a sweatshirt or jacket and long pants)

  • Bible, notebook, and pen

  • Sleeping bag, pillow, and/or twin sheets for bunks

  • Towel

  • Personal toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, soap, etc.)

  • Insect repellent (optional)

  • Sun screen (optional)

    What NOT to Pack

  • Handheld video games

  • Alcohol / drugs

    Medication

  • Please be prepared to drop off all medication when you arrive on Friday.

  • Medication must be labeled with CLEAR instructions. Medication will be kept with our nurse at the nursing cabin.
