Foundations
Foundations is our Sunday morning instruction time that incorporates both teaching and small group discussion on Biblical doctrine and practical Christian living. Everyone is welcome to join us!
It is the prayer of the elders that these sessions will ground us in our most precious faith and help us navigate daily life with confidence and wisdom.
Foundations runs from 8:45 - 9:45 am on Sunday mornings in the small auditorium.
The Trinity (start date 9/13/26)
Do you believe in the Trinity, but don't really know what this doctrine represents or why you believe it? Does the Bible actually teach the triunity of God? Who is the Father, the Son or the Holy Spirit? We invite you to our new series in our Foundations class as we engage in these deep musings. If you have not engaged theology before, or feel inadequate for the task, consider this your personal invitation to grow in confidence of what God has clearly revealed. As we examine the testimony of Scripture, we will also consider practical matters such as personally delighting in the Trinity, praying to God, and the consistent historical church testimony regarding the Trinity.
For a sample of what we have recently covered in Foundations, see below!
Having completed our consideration of I John, we are now engaging a most helpful book on an important topic: anger.
Uprooting Anger, by Robert D. Jones provides biblical help for a common problem.
Why do I feel angry? Is my anger righteous? How can I get to the bottom of this anger and uproot it from my life? These are the types of questions that will be addressed as we work through this book together.
Jerry Bridges, author of the Pursuit of Holiness, said this about Uprooting Anger: “Far and away the best material on anger I have read, thoroughly biblical and immensely practical. Jones does a masterful job of helping us identify anger in our lives, then gives us biblical steps for uprooting it. Every Christian ought to prayerfully read this book and apply its teaching.”
Paul David Tripp said this after reading it: “Jones shows us that the Bible is both shockingly honest about anger’s cause and wonderfully encouraging about its cure.”
Come learn, grow and stretch yourself this summer. You will not regret the effort as we connect together around God’s truth on a very practical and important matter!
