Derwood Bible Church provides a Sunday School ministry for children ages 3 years old through 5th grade.
Visitors and Guests: To get started create an account here. When you come Sunday morning, please stop by the Check-In table to the left of the front doors of the main building in order to check in. You can always register your child on a Sunday morning as well.
The KidZone staff seeks to ensure that each child feels valued and welcomed, leaving each week knowing that God loves him or her and has a wonderful plan for their life. Our purpose is to support parents as they share the gospel and disciple their children. We want parents to know what their children are learning and provide resources to review the content in the context of normal family life.
Teachers work with our director of children's ministry to deliver the message of Jesus Christ in fresh, innovative and exciting ways that engage the children.
Classes are grouped by age and grades. Three and four-year-olds are together, Kindergarten-1st grades are together, 2nd-3rd grades are together, and 4th-5th grades are together. After participating in praise and worship with their families in the auditorium, children are dismissed to their KidZone classes.
Preschool
The classroom is located off the foyer in the main building. Parents escort their children to the Panda classroom when they are dismissed and pick them up at the same location after the service.
Kindergarten-5th Grade
The classrooms are located on the lower level of the small building. Teachers will meet their students in the foyer once they are dismissed from the main service. Teachers and helpers will escort them to the small building next door. Parents will pick up their children in the small building by entering through the main door after the service.
Kindergarten-1st Grade: Rooms 7-8, 2nd-3rd Grade: Rooms 2-3, 4th-5th Grade: Rooms 4-5.
Children older than 5th grade attend the service with their families.

For KidZone Parents
To support you in discipling your children, we provide a Big Picture Card that accompanies each child's take home paper. You will also receive a weekly email with resource links for that week's lesson if you desire to implement them at home.
For KidZone Teacher
Curriculum Preview Guide: Preschool, Kindergarten-3rd Grade, 4th-5th Grade
The KidZone Director sends out weekly emails with all of the links you need for each lesson. This includes all visuals, lesson plans, and take home papers.
Three and four-year-olds use the younger preschool version.
Kindergarten-3rd grades use the younger kids version.
4th-5th grades use the older kids version.
Visuals provided include the timeline poster, big picture question and answer sheet, a key passage page, a unit overview, and a main Bible picture poster per lesson.
Activity pages that implement that Sunday's lesson are provided for each child.
A Big Picture card is also sent home with each child as a resource for the parents regarding the lesson taught that Sunday.
Craft supplies are provided for each classroom. Bibles are provided for grades 2nd–5th.
Snacks, including Goldfish crackers, cups, and pitchers of water are provided for the Preschool-1st grade classes.
The curriculum includes videos for Bible lessons, songs, missions and more. We also have flannel graph available for teaching the lessons to the preschool ages.
In Room 3 on the lower level of the small building, there are several cabinets labeled KidZone Craft Supplies to replenish your class's craft items.
If you choose to purchase other supplies for your class, you can be reimbursed. Please email your receipt and your address to connie@derwoodbiblechurch.org, and I will fill out a reimbursement form for you. You will receive your reimbursement in the mail.
