About 50,000 people have returned to the land and an alter is now in use in Jerusalem. For the first time in over 70 years, burnt offerings are being made and in addition, the foundation of the new temple is laid. Quite the worship service takes place in Ezra 3! On Sunday we will examine this passage and see its close corollaries in our daily Christian walk.
