On Sunday we'll examine Jesus' words to the church at Smyrna. Smyrna was a spiritually rich church despite enduring suffering and poverty. Jesus warned them of upcoming persecution and imprisonment, they would suffer for the gospel. They were promised the crown of life and protection from the second death as they overcame the trials headed their way.
